CHAPLAIN’S THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:5)
As expected, coronavirus is rapidly spreading with a rising death toll and this week has brought limitations by the UK Government on public freedom which go far beyond what had previously been seen, even in wartime. It is indeed a difficult and demanding situation for us all to face, with even our churches closed, but always remember that God is always close to his people and he has promised never to leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). It is at times like this that you need to spend more time in reading scripture and in prayer, and to commit your way unto God and keep your trust and hope upon him alone, for he is the God of all comfort and grace.
